1. FileScout is a file system browser for your BlackBerry® (including hidden files)
2. Create directories, copy, move, rename, or delete files
3. Zip and Unzip files or complete directory structures with your BlackBerry® (no support for password protected zips) or browse the content of a Zip and extract only the required part(s)
4. Copy and delete complete directory structures
5. Open all media files (supported by your BlackBerry®)
6. Register additional file types with other (3rd party) applications (if supported)

 Update feature:

1. FileScout is now supporting the new BlackBerry Messenger SDK. With the BBM™ Integration you are able to send any file to any of your BBM Contacts, requires BBM 6.0.0.111 (or higher). Please note that even FileScout is already support the sending of multiple files, right now you have to select the recipient and confirm the send process for each of the selected files separate. I hope this can be changed with later releases of RIM’s BBM-SDK.
2. The image manipulation (rotate & resize) can now be also called directly from the build in ImageViewer
3. Since the release of 2.6.x it was not possible any longer to enter text in Japanese, Chinese or Korean language in the TextEditor. This has been fixed in the new build.
4. If you make use of the HomeScreen Application Shortcuts, FileScout can be instantly launched by pressing the ‘F’-Key
5. Multiple other minor bugfixes
